BLACK DIAMOND RANCH

World-Class, Tom-Fazio Golf

The Quarry Course
Top Ranked on Florida's Nature Coast

With fewer than 190 properties remaining and a limit of 750 equity memberships, Black Diamond Ranch, the number one golf community in Florida, will soon become even more exclusive.

Covering 1,320 private acres across the rolling countryside of Florida's Nature Coast, Black Diamond will eventually be home to fewer than 800 families who will have access to 45 holes of Tom Fazio-designed championship golf, including the famed Quarry course.

Black Diamond Ranch The Quarry Course

The splendor of the Quarry is supplemented by the impressive Ranch course and the Highlands, a nine-hole layout with hilltop views of up to 25 miles. Other amenities include tennis, swimming, a fully equipped fitness center, plus excellent dining and social activities.

All this abundance is within a private, gated community just 90 minutes from Tampa and Orlando, and considered the No. 1 Golf Community in Florida by Florida Golf Magazine. An excellent selection of homes and lots to suit your lifestyle is still available.

The Highlands is a 9-holer with 25-mile views.
Tom-Fazio Golf

You immediately get a good feel for the high quality of the golf at Black Diamond Ranch by taking a quick look at the accolades that have rained down on its Quarry and Ranch courses. Most recently, Golfweek magazine ranked the Quarry course as the No. 3 Real Estate Golf Course in the Southeast (October, 2002).

Golf and Travel Magazine ranked Black Diamond No. 3 on its list of "America’s Best Real Estate Courses." No other Florida real estate course ranked in the Top 15.

And since 1991, Black Diamond’s Quarry course has continually landed on the list of "America’s 100 Greatest Courses" by Golf Digest, and since 1993, Golf Magazine has included the Quarry among its list of the "100 Greatest Courses in the U.S."

Club House

There's much more, but you get the idea. With elevation changes of up to 100 feet and its rugged topography, this Tom Fazio-designed masterpiece continues to be recognized as the top course in Florida and each year brings in new honors.

By the way, holes Nos. 12-16, which are carved over and around canyon walls and combine challenging shot making opportunities with awesome views, have received particular praise. Writer Dan Jenkins calls this magical stretch of holes "the best five consecutive holes of golf anywhere in the world."

The Ranch Course

The 18-hole Ranch course, completed in 1997, is reminiscent, residents say, of Pine Valley with its rolling fairways and dramatic elevation changes of over 100 feet. Par is guarded by numerous sand traps, waste bunkers, and two lakes. The course is very strategic in nature with numerous two-tiered greens placing a premium on distance control for your approach shots.

The Ranch Course

The Ranch course, the second 18-hole jewel in the Black Diamond crown, was named the No. 10 layout on Golf Digest's annual "Best New Private Course" rankings.

The Ranch exceeds 7,000 yards from the back tees, four additional sets of tees make the course playable for golfers of all handicaps.

Additional facilities include an oversize swimming pool.

Highlands Course

The Highlands course, a championship nine-hole layout, offers spectacular views of up to 25 miles. The fairways are lined with pines and huge live oaks draped in Spanish moss.

Complementing the 45-hole championship line-up is a four hole, Scottish-style, par-three course. There is also extensive practice facilities which include a three-tiered range and several target greens and bunkers.

Two Har-Tru tennis courts stand at the ready.

The amenities are as impressive as the golf. Start with a top-notch 28,000-square-foot clubhouse, two Har-Tru, fast-dry clay tennis courts, a complete fitness center and swimming pool.
